Here’s the redesign of the bee character. She’s supposed to love fashion, so I tried to give her some accessories without overdoing it. How much do you think she improved?
Alright, I’m gonna try and do this, hopefully without sounding too mean, don’t take it the wrong way! Because it seems like you were developing this for a while!
For the most part, you nailed the body/head/face shapes, even if she’s a bit tall!
However, I don’t like the concept of bug-characters in Happy Tree Friends, unless they’re REALLY really small like the Ant Family.
Even then, a big gripe I have with almost everything is when people make/draw bugs with animal-faces, because I love bugs
Like in Sonic the Hedgehog. There’s a bee character, he doesn’t look anything like a bee, it annoys me to no end. Same goes with those pillow-pet ladybugs or Bee Movie.
I do like the concept of fashion-obsessing, maybe pricking herself with needles, being disgusted with one’s clothing choices(like Flippy or Pop?).
I just don’t think a bee character really works in Happy Tree Friends due to the size and face, a tarantula is the only bug I can see partially working because they’re huge… Even then, the limbs and face are still a problem.
Of course, not all Tree Friends have to be mammals. There’s birds, amphibians, and canonically there’s a reptile character.
… Surprised there isn’t many frog OCs in HTF.
If you really want to stay with a bee that’s a fashion-lover, perhaps use the ants as reference and keep her really small.
If you want a character that fits in with the others, change the species.
On a good note, I love her little scarf and bow, glad you fixed the wings too. Sorry if I was too harsh, but like I said, I don’t like it when bug’s are given mammal-features! ;-;
